I was super excited when i received this item. i had another kit which had recently died so i was in the market for a new one.
Okay, first of all I’m a man in his 50s who has had a beard for most of my adult life. I’ve gone through enough trimmers over the years to fill a small room. I have also spawned a son who is just as prodigious at producing hair as his old man. He was the one who recommended this trimmer to me. Is it perfect? Nope, but for the price it is as close as possible for me. It holds a charge fairly well, does a good job on keeping my beard well groomed and has great attachments for removing all this hair that is suddenly sprouting in places it never did when I was younger (Ears? Nose? Rogue eyebrow hairs? Why was I not informed that this would happen??? But I digress…). I like the trimming attachments, but must admit I use it without the attachments most often to trim my beard as I have found I achieve better results that way…with the exception of the one awful trimming slip up that resulted in my brief “Hulk Hogan” period.
Nicely built, with a rapid action to the clippers. This replaced an older Norelco cordless clipper which would snag if it engaged with too much hair at once. So far this one has not snagged. Battery life is good also. Clipper heads are easy to wash out- just undo from the body and rinse through with water. Charger port is nice and bulky, can’t see it breaking. Only 4 stars because it doesn’t come with a case, base or bag to store the parts in so they will end up lost or rattling about loose in a drawer.
I originally ordered this as a replacement for my 8 year old beard trimmer that finally died. I was simply looking for something that would do an “OK” job at trimming hair, but I got so much more. At $19.99, I was not expecting something that looked, felt, and operated like a more expensive, premium product. However, that’s exactly what I received.
Great Product. Highly recommend. My previous groomers were Wahl Groomsman pro’s. The main issue I had with the Wahl units is the fact that you have to oil them after every use, otherwise the blades become dull, and even though they say there self sharpening there not. Also the blade heads fall apart due to a faulty design with a plastic clip. I read multiple reviews on various groomers and settled on this Norelco unit. Could not be happier. Unit is very quit compared to my Wahl unit. Provides all the same cutting capacities as my old Wahl unit. You can wash the head under water to clean it, (Something you could not do with the Wahl). Blades do not rust, which means there using a superior metal than what Wahl uses. Highly recommend this.

Was looking for a smaller lighter trimmer to replace my full size electric (plug into wall) trimmer.
I have gone through several similar “multigroom” type trimmers in the last few years. I even made the mistake of trying 2 of the same thing once because I liked the trimmer but the battery just wouldn’t hold a charge, then just wouldn’t charge. So I changed brands. I wish I had tried this one a couple years ago. It is a quality machine!! It is smooth, holds a charge forever, has great attachments, it feels solid, and it sure seems sharp to start, etc. I don’t do the popular “3-4 days old stubble” thing and I wish the fad would die. But I use the attachments for a quick “around the ears” kind of trim when I don’t want to give myself a full haircut, I use it as a neck trimmer and, if my regular clipper for haircuts dies, I think I could do it all with this. Then, the couple months a year that I may grow a beard, this is perfect for trimming and touch-ups.
