The Eighth Tale in the Harry Potter Saga

Being labelled as 'the boy who lived' for his whole life has not been easy for Harry Potter. In the official eighth instalment of the Harry Potter series penned in the form of a two-part stage production play, J. K. Rowling weaves yet another thrilling and magical yarn featuring the life of Harry Potter nineteen years later in the post-Voldemort wizarding world. A glimpse into the epic tale

Harry Potter plays the role of a man finally living out the quiet, conventional lifestyle he always wanted to live as a Minister of Magic employee, who is a doting husband and father of three. Yet, he struggles to escape the haunting past, the demons of which continue to consume him. The play also features a grown up Albus Severus Potter following the footsteps of his legendary father and labouring to carry the burden of a family bequest and fortune he hadn't expected. As the past meets the present, the legendary father and son duo strive to come in terms with the darkness that lies within and overcome their inner demons. The Play

The 'Harry Potter And The Cursed Child: The Play' airs for the first time at the London Palace Theatre on July 30th, 2016. The play is based on the book written by Jack Thorne in collaboration with J. K. Rowling and the book is scheduled to release on July 31st, 2016. On 10th February, 2016, it was declared that the scripts of both the parts of the play would be released in both digital and print formats.

J. K. Rowling promises to take fans deeper into the recesses of Harry Potter's mind as the play showcases the life of Potter when he was an unwanted orphan. About The Author

Amazon rocks again with fast delivery and great price.JK Rowling again creates a whole new of wizard world.Albus Potter is really burdened by his father’s legacy. The use of time-turner as a main object in this last part of our beloved Harry Potter’s wizarding world is a very out of the box idea.Im totally amazed by reading this conclusion of Harry’s life.A must read for each Potter head. It’ll really take you to a whole new world of magic.

As it is with any Harry Potter fan….I loved this book! It helped me delve back into the world of magic and had many positive spin offs. I felt like something was missing from this book though…..and maybe it was my own personal expectations that were so high about getting to read a Harry Potter story after so long…perhaps this is not how I visualized it in my head….but overall, it was a very engaging read and didn’t take long to finish.

Unnecessary addition to an otherwise perfect series.

Okay, I love Harry Potter, and believe me when I say I was ecstatic when The Cursed Child was announced. At the time I had not expected it to be written in the form of a play, and had definitely expected more of Harry and his friends. But turns out it revolves around his son Albus and Scorpius (who, by the way is Draco’s son and is nothing like his father), who get themselves into a huge mess and need everyone’s help to get out of it.

It’s a play.

First thing to remember is you are reading a play. Description is limited to stage directions. If you start with that premise, it is a thoroughly enjoyable read. There are plenty of times where you can hear JKR’s voice. The plot is riveting, funny, heartbreaking all at once. Albus and Scorpius are wonderful characters and while our much loved protagonists from the HP series are secondary to the main story, it’s lovely to see where they are, what they’ve become. Ah nostalgia! I envy a new generation of readers who are just beginning to read the series. I will be making every effort to see the play.

A different experience but one I truly enjoyed. PS

This is not the Harry Potter we are used to. There is hardly any Hogwarts, Dumbledore is just a portrait, Hagrid comes in for about 30 seconds right at the end and there are no Fred and George or Arthur and Molly, in fact even Voldemort comes in only at the end for about a minute though we do here his voice off and on. This is a grown up Harry who has developed maturity and is even able to forge a bond with Draco. A different experience but one I truly enjoyed.
