Buy it for surge protection and nothing else.

Nothing spectacular. I’m currently using this to plug in a monitor and a laptop, and occasionally to plug in a smartphone for charging. Haven’t yet run into a power surge, so it’s difficult to say whether it will do it’s job. But this review is mostly about the warranty.

No sparks when connecting whatsoever! I’ll update the review in the case something goes wrong but I’m hoping not.

Good product. Packaging could have been better.

This product is made in China and imported by Rashi peripherals, a famous company when it comes to IT related accessories. Belkin as a brand is trustworthy however I wasn’t too impressed by the packaging. The product I received has scratches on the surface as you can see in the image attached, once you zoom in.

A decent buy for sure

I browsed quite a few power-plates and spike guards before settling for this one. I already have purchased the 6-socket Belkins surge protector and very happy with that. This too is a decent buy; though the material used to manufacture this isn’t as confidence-inspiring as the Belkins 6-socket one. It’s a little plasticky and boxy (feels hollow, but is ergonomic though) viv-a-vis how it appears in the given image (very-well-built, rubbery).

Does the job you expect it to do

I haven’t had any trouble (so far) and thus giving it a rating of 5. As a measure of safety, I also pull off the plug from the wall socket when I’m not watching my television. At the time I am watching the television, the spike guard seems to do a good job of protecting it.

In built surge protection and very good build quality and color.

Needed in these days of faulty power and multiple requirements for electricity

We are quite happy with products from Belkin, though after-sales service under promise of “lifetime warranty” was a bit difficult to achieve – eventually they replaced it but not before a few visits and emails. One suggestion to Belkin is that they may consider providing a brighter colour as well as bigger warning about “do not load more than xxx watts in total” kind of printed advisory on the surge guard cum multi-socket.

The black looks much better than the white one

You can’t go wrong with a Belkin power strip. Have been using them for years without any problems thus far. Haven’t had any problems with sparking. All international plugs fit snugly without any wriggling.
