Seems to be original game of thrones book written by martin & not serial adapted version. I had already watched the serial so suspense factor was gone but for those who haven’t seen it i would totally recommend this as i felt that book is better than the serial.

The best

The first book of the series, this started this all. A marvelous book, with beautiful words. The reason Martin’s books are so popular is because he can capture the human mind’s complexity so well. If Lord of the Rings didn’t peak your interest towards fantasy, then this one surely will.

A story is coming.

When it comes to The Game of Thrones, I have always been an admirer of the TV show and as yet, have not read a single book from the series. However, when I discovered that there existed a special illustrated edition of the first book, then I knew that I had to have it. The Bibliophile in me knew that if I ever felt inclined to begin reading the series then I should do so with this particular book, because as the show is visually beautiful so too are the illustrations for every chapters. In terms of dimensions, the book is fits perfectly into the adult hand. A child however, may struggle with it. The pages are a tad thinner that what I expected, but the thin pages manage to keep the book deceptively light. The texture of the cover is good and all-in-all it is a book that belongs on any good bookshelf because even if you judge a book by its cover, you will always judge this one as being beautiful.

Splendid book. All readers must read this epic. Georges R. R. Martin is some of the best authors we’ve got. And if your buying the book make sure you buy the hardcover 20th anniversary edition… Just to make it special. It felt so great. Beautiful illustrations and writings. Gave it 4 stars as I didn’t like the page quality… Not that bad but not to great indeed. Also the cover looks magsestical but the silver and gold designs are nothing but glitter which sheds off when you rub your hand over it.

See the publisher before buying

Buy the ones published by Harper Voyager . Its the same one’s sold in the UK and EU. The quality of the pages are excellent and its a pleasure to read it unlike the ones published by Bantam or Random House which usually gives a combined edition of the two parts (1000+ pages) and is of horrible quality (yellow pages, small font, horrible spacing)

Simply Clever.
